Consultation on Sithi Nakha held in Lalitpur |

 A consultation programme was held on 16 June in Lalitpur to discuss on traditional festival Sithi Nakha and its importance in water source conservation. The programme was jointly organized by Guthi, Lalitpur Citizen Campaign, and Lalitpur Stone spout and Source Conservation Committee in association with Water Aid Nepal, NGO Forum for Urban Water and Sanitation, and UN Habitat Water for Asian Cities Programme Nepal to commemorate Nepalese indigenous festival Sithi Nakha.

 On the occasion of Sithi Nakha 2010, Guthi and NGO Forum for Urban Water and Sanitation in association with UN Habitat, Water Aid Nepal and Freshwater Action Network Nepal organized a water walk to expose the existing condition of local water sources and its contribution on traditional water management system in Kathmandu Valley. |

 An awareness exhibition was organized on the bank of Bagmati river at Kupondole on Friday to mark the World Environment Day -2010.
Guthi, UN-Habitat, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolis, Friends’ Club Kupondole and Women Environment Preservation Committee (WEPCO) jointly organized the expo.
